My journey into the payments industry started in the early 2000s when I joined Monex Financial Products (a DCC company) as General Counsel. From there, I have built my experience of that industry whilst working at MasterCard and more recently in the RBS payments business.
I have sat on a number of Boards (UK Finance Interim Board), Women in Payments Advisory Board whilst at the same time holding the position of Chair of UK Payments Administration.
I originally came to London from Ireland where I worked for Salomon Brothers and Credit Suisse.
I recently joined Payen having known the Board from the early days when it was a startup. Payen has in a very short period demonstrated how it can use new ways of working and thinking in order to bridge a gap in the payments industry.
I currently reside in Essex with my husband and cat (Zebo), and I enjoy watching rugby and sailing in my spare time.
Following a career in military and civil aviation, I joined a dotcom incubator where I invested in early stage tech businesses.
Prior to founding Payen with Sandy, I spent the first 12 years of my working career in the City of London, specialising in complex software systems for financial markets.
Having spent my working life with large firms, the challenge of being part of a fintech start-up was irresistible.
